I’ve been dealing with lots of angry, sucky customers who seem to think that if they send in E-mails with lots of CAPITAL LETTERS, bold print, and lots of profanity/threatening to call lawyers, etc, that we’re going to give a flying monkey flip any more than if they were to be calm, civil, and act like their mothers raised them properly. People still don’t seem to grasp that HEY…we’re people too, and deserve the same amount of respect that they do.
I just don’t get why people seem to think that we are below them since we are doing customer service. Hey! It’s not customer SERVITUDE you know! Maybe it’s because I’ve worked such jobs for 15+ years, and for some reason only the great deity knows, I like to think I enjoy it. Sometimes though, it’s really hard to even fake it.
