Well….it’s been 2-3 weeks now, and things are still kinda tenacious. Sure, we have a place to stay, but one thing you learn is that people sometimes don’t know what to expect when invitations are made, and sometimes that causes issues. I’ve come to expect the worst of things, because that’s usually what ends up happening anyway. Kinda like that saying….you set your expectations to zero and STILL end up getting disappointed.
One of my two pizza gigs is going better than the other, so I’m going to go with the stronger company and just work one – that way I can save sanity and help out around the house (did I say I’d get any rest?). Rest seems to be one thing that seems to elude me a lot of the time. Now I know what they mean by the retirement years being the “golden years”. *sheesh*
It’s not to say things would have been any better in Denver – heaven knows they may have ended up even worse, so I can’t really second-guess myself these days. I guess I’ll just have to muddle through and hope for the best…..hope seems to be the only thing I have left going for me.
