I love dentists at times, but man….why can’t I find one that works on weekends? Had one go *WHOOSH!* on me over the weekend, and now my cheek is all blown up like a balloon. Had pain all weekend, and now no pain, but one big gunny sack on my face. It’s a glaring reminder that “I need to get this taken care of………NOW”. Moving around over the last 3-4 years hasn’t afforded me many opportunities to get this done, but now I make decent money and have decent insurance to where I can set up a serious game plan to get my teeth fixed, straightened up, and hopefully getting back to where I can actually smile without having to be embarrassed about it. One of my friends at work recommended a good one, so while I’m going to see a different dude today just to “get er drained”, then I’ll go start seeing my soon-to-be regular one. They say “they cater to cowards”, so that was another part of it. I hate lectures, although I probably deserve this one. I just hope I’m working steadily long enough to get it all done, although from what experiences I’ve had, I don’t think that’ll be a problem.
My regular work is mainly follow-up and working with field techs and other agents, although sometimes I take customer calls too. This is fine since when I was working overnights I talked with customers anyhow, and I have a thick skin for such things (I guess working retail and fast-food hell for many years helps with that). Some of my friends are leaving for one reason or another, and I wish them all well with whatever path life takes them down. I don’t think this place will be the end for me, but it’s a nice comfy resting spot for the meantime……..and the freebies make it worth it too.
Now if I can just get this puffy spot drained……….then I’ll feel a bit better. *sigh*
