Next month is sanity break month! Woo-hooooooooooo!
If you don’t specify a time in the year for sanity breaks, then you might as well write yourself off right now. There is enough stress in people’s lives to where it’s really really needed. It’s healthy, it’s theraputic, and gosh darn it – it’s FUN! I had thought about hitting Disneyland once again, but in order to maximize the fun time AND get to see some friends again, we’re gonna head down to Denver once again….this time for longer than the 3-day weekend (man, was that a JOKE).
Granted…I DID get to see some of my friends there, but it was sooooo rushed! Gonna take it easier this time. Swear.
I went online shopping today some more, and I think I picked which boots I’m picking up before the trip. I’m kinda torn between the brown boots and the black boots. Either way, at least some manufacturers are making things in larger sizes. Wee-hoo!
I got a chance to play “Wonder System J” for the Japanese SNES, but found it was an RPG, so knowing I’m very much lacking in expertise of reading Japanese (I can read some stuff, but not much), this one may end up getting put up for sale again sometime. I started off playing Super Mario Bros. 3, and managed to wipe out the first boss before going to work. I was amazed at how much I remember of that game! I guess the lost art of the aracade truly is lost, since all the ones you see nowadays are pale shadows of the ones I used to go to…..unless I just haven’t stumbled on them recently. There WAS that one in Fullerton, CA (Nickel Nickel) that was quite the treat to see – all classic games from the days when games were FUN! Guess programmers are more worried about aesthetics than gameplay these days. Now there ARE exceptions to this one, OKAMI being one of them. If you have a PS2 and a pulse, you are doing yourself a disservice if you do not find this one immediately. Your PS2 and your sense of sight will adore you for a long time.
I have a few creative thoughts brewing up in my mind, and just thinking of which order I want to tackle them, so I hope to get back on the creating kick here very soonly! And oh yeah…..for those of you who have known me for a long time….the story I started up in 1986 – I discovered where the manuscript had been hiding all this time! Time to get to work!
