This year, I decided it was high time I took care of some issues that were long overdue. Thanks to my buddy Marc that used to work with me, I went to this wonderful dentist here in town, and started up a plan for re-doing all that was wrong in my yapper. It’s taken almost 6 months now, but we’re nearing he homestretch! I am SO happy about this!
Today I went in for the impressions for the appliance I’ll be wearing from now on, which is always an interesting feeling. Last time I had this done, I was 12….and it never seems to get any less weird. They put this really goopy doughy stuff into a tray, they say “open wide”, and then they shove this thing down on your bottom teeth. If you have a weak gag-reflex, this is NOT pleasant. Fortunately I made it okay, and then they did the top one. This one made me nervous, but maybe it was just becuase I had JUST had my permanent crowns put in, and I was afraid the mold would rip them out. As it sat up top, they ran water through it, which turned it from warm to cooler. When they tugged it out, thankfully…the crowns stayed put! Not an inch out of place! GOOD GLUE GUYS!
So in 3 weeks thereabouts, I’ll have a nice full smile again. Now it’s time to work on the weight loss thing, so time to dig out the bike and start peddling my ass around instead of driving everywhere. Soon I’ll be svelte once again, and smiling pretty!
