I think it’s a wonderful thing to be appreciated for one’s gifts – in however small of ways they are shown. I’ve been making some nice things at work that have gotten attention from management on various levels, including corporate (yes, I have an art fan at the home office), so I’m feeling pretty perky about that.
I’ve appreciated those creative spirits who continue to be a good influence in my life, and will always cherish them. I’ve learned that there are times when being outwardly creative has many positive rewards, as well as many intangible inner rewards. I’ve found some really good new music to listen to, which is something new that I haven’t done in a while. I remember when I used to shop in record stores (back when they sold records), and I could casually flip through album covers, looking for those that strike my inner spark and call to me. One such person is Emilie Autumn, who does some very wide-ranging pieces on her CD “A little bit o’ this and that” – I recommend it to those who want something just a little outside the norm.
A feel another evolution calling my name…and it waits with wings unfurled, for I will truly fly on wings of unbridled imagination.
