They say that breakfast is the best way to start your day.
Well, me, being one for thinking unconventionally, believes that foods that are traditionally thought of as breakfast foods can be eaten at any time of day. Heck…..why shouldn’t you have french toast for dinner, or an omelette for a lunch?
I’ve worked many different shifts at many different jobs, so my definition of “morning” is kind of an ambiguous thing at best, so I’ve given up on when “breakfast” usually is, and just think of it as “another time to eat”. I’ve also found comfort in eating dinner leftovers for breakfast, so I think the idea of things as being separated for “breakfast”, “lunch”, and “dinner” is something that is becoming outdated.
One of my favorite breakfast-y foods is french toast. If it’s offered, I usually don’t care what time of day it is, I’m down for it, and always enjoy it – especially if it’s the thick bread soaked in the egg/cinnamon mix and then done up right – oh yeah……that just gets my mood all happy again. Serve it up with some nice fresh orange juice for that sweet/tart comparison, and it just gets even better!
Kind of a short post, but my point is……..enjoy the food you like – no matter what time of day it is!
