This week has had some high spots, especially picking up a new pair of sandals from Raven’s that are great! I have information on them on my “Rave’s” page. I managed to snag the last black pair that she had and have not regretted it since. At least my personal life is going in a good direction!

The joys of working in the I.T. field. It’s amazing how companies release databases and tools to help in the wonderous goal of “world-class customer service” and then put out stuff that doesn’t work right! One would think that things would be planned out better than that, but hey…after two years, I’m not holding my breath much. At least my personal life is faring much better than my professional one…for the time being.
One thing I’ll never grasp is “Why can’t we all just get along?”. I mean…it’s such a simple concept, but most people can’t grasp that one little thing. If you’re happy with who you are, and are not hurting anyone, then what right do others have to make you miserable? It’s just not right, you know? Come on, people! WAKE UP! We’re in the 21st century now, not the 16th (although it was a fashionable time)!
I’m finding out there is just a bit more to updating a site than moving folders around….there is maintenance to consider as well. I’m also working on other graphics options, so you may see more glitzy stuff around here from time to time as well….stay tuned!
I was reading the paper and hearing on the radio about the big whoop-de-doo about Marilyn Manson coming to Denver for a concert, and you know what? It falls within the norm of people not accepting others’ point of view when it comes to art. It’s so typical to blame a tragedy such as the one that happened at Columbine on a singer, or a video game, or whatever is the appropriate crutch at the time. Remember the big controversy that Mortal Kombat stirred up? OK, if you’re going to blame Marilyn Manson, then you have to include ALL singers of that type, such as Rob Zombie, Rammstein, AC/DC, Alice Cooper, and the list goes on and on, yet this is the only guy they’re picking on. Geez…he’s coming for ONE show…GET OVER IT! Goes to show that maybe we haven’t come as far as a people as we should have by now.
I’m finding simple pleasure in re-arranging bedrooms once in a while – so that way you don’t have to look at the walls the same way every day. i’ve grown to like the BBC America show “Changing Rooms”, which shows you how to redecorate your apartment/room/house for under 500 pounds (British currency). it’s cool though! It’s great not having to get up at 7am anymore *yesssss*. Now off to plan the next shopping trip (yeah, right).
Today I bid adieu to the convenience store job and just sticking with my primary one, so now I can get a bit more sleep, concentrate on my studies, and work on my webpages more. Gee….better all the way around! I’m still working on V6.0 of the site, and working on re-modifying my Mari Iijima fan club site as well. It never ends, does it?
OK, folks…I’m back online and dangerous once again! Tomorrow will mark my end of working at the convenience store (for those who were curious, it was at a 7-11), and just concentrating on one job, one school, and one family! i’m finally going to get my head screwed on straight again and maybe get a bit more sleep too. I built a computer for my friend the other day and surprisingly it worked with only minimal tweaking (had to flip the connector cable for the floppy drive). I figure that was pretty darn good for my first time putting one together from the ground up. I guess this schooling is paying off! OH…yeah…almost forgot. Version 6.0 will be unleashed soon!
I’m so glad my weekend is here…from both jobs. Granted, I’m only working 3 days at the convenience store, but having 2 kids, working 2 jobs, and trying to go to school is putting a bit o’ the strain on things. Time for going out on a walk somewhere. It’s coffee night tomorrow night with my friends, so we’re going to see “Tomb Raider” – should prove fun! I hope to be online at home soon, so you’ll see my ICQ and AIM be active here shortly. Wish me luck!
Gee…it’s amazing how many people whine, bitch, moan, bark, and complain how their life is going to end if they don’t have their internet connection and they’ll lose all touch with the world without their E-mail. Makes me wonder what we all did 10 years ago!!!! I think those people would be lost if they got thrown back in time and had to fend for themselves. Stop bitching about how unfair the world is without your little box-view of the world and go do something ELSE in the meantime…it IS a large world out there, you know, so go explore it! That box will still be there when you get back…trust me!
