It’s almost gone! Yay! My battle of the crud is almost over! It’s one of THE FEW things that gets me down these days, and it sucks when it happens. Thankfully, it’ll be gone by the time my “weekend” starts tomorrow, so I can actually enjoy myself.
Now if this newly-fallen snow will just melt away…..quickly. Please?
It’s hard enough to knock out “the creeping crud” when you’re by yourself, but when you’re at work…and everyone has it there, then when you go home…and everyone has it there, there really is no escape until it makes the full rounds! It sucks to the Nth degree, but what can ya do? Just keep hydrated and get plenty of rest. Thank goodness desk jobs don’t require too much physical movement (a plus right now, assuredly).
*achoo!* I hope this goes away SOON!
OH…and a huge THANK YOU to bluknight for intro’ing me to another fan of Depeche Mode…Johnny Cash!
Well, I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later *sniffle*…..I got hit with a bug on my “weekend” and it hasn’t kicked out by the time I was supposed to go back to work. Thankfully, my job doesn’t require a lot of physical activity, and I think just about everyone here has the same thing. Fortunately, I have Vitamin C, penecillin, orange juice, and just got some Zinc tonight to knock it out.
Sometimes you just gotta batter it outta your system. I just hope this works quickly. Uggggg…..*achoo!* *sniffle*
Each time I think I’m not going to find another style I like, here comes another one! I saw these boots online and just thought they were awesome – so naturally, once payday came around, I placed my order. Granted, there aren’t many places to enjoy ones self around here, and not too many shops have what I want, so I guess online ordering is the next best thing……..and it has me waiting by the door like a kid on Christmas morning.
And for what it’s worth – just in case you’re curious – no, I don’t spend just on myself…..I make sure everyone gets plenty of chances to buy/order stuff as well in the family…..I just have less things I shop for currently. 😉
While I’m not necessarily on one side or another on this, I rather like the commercial PURELY for the artisitc sense – it was very well done, and you really can’t tell it’s not the original way that the scene was done unless you had seen the original movie “1984”.
I am curious to see who actually wins next year though – should prove an interesting race.
Ah spring! At least….it feels like spring around here. Today has been a good day. I just got my review (and a healthy raise), so I was loving that, and then I looked outside and saw how nice it was. I got to thinking how I’d love to be out bike riding right about now. Granted, riding bikes doesn’t pay the bills, so those things I have to leave for my “weekend”, which is all good since my weekend starts tomorrow.
I hope to get some things done this week, including pulling up some bushes that sprout like…….weeds. I think they’re weeds anyway. They’re sucker bushes, so I’m pretty sure they are. It’ll take some lopping, shoveling, and pulling, but maybe I’ll get them cleared out, and then I can get working on growing a lawn. Yeah, it’s a rental, but it doesn’t have to look like a dump. Heaven knows I still get to contend with that “alien crop circle” from the pool we had last year 😉 I just hope the next pool will hold up better. Note: if you are going to have a pool on any lawn, it’s better to get the set-up walled above ground pool rather than the “inflatable, self-rising” kind unless you have NOTHING in your lawn like rocks, weeds, or anything else but smooth green grass that you don’t mind replacing.
It is worth it for the nice cool swim though!
I just saw this news tidbit online about how Carol Burnett, who has made fun of others in the past, is now SUING Fox over someone spoofing HER in an episode of “Family Guy”.
Smoking Gun Article
I like Carol as a performer, but I think she has to have some really thin skin to go this far over a tiny bit of satire. I, myself, thought it was funny, and actually reminded me of how much I liked watching her show. Just goes to show how we’ve all become really “sue-happy” in recent times.
