I was shown this little gem, so I thought I would share it.

I’ve come to reaffirm my belief that while yes, there are a growing number of people who are open-minded in this community, there are still a number of people who have not come out of the stone age. I’m not saying I’m subtle in my ways – quite the opposite, really, but…..in this age when we’re so used to being shocked through the media, is what people do really that out of the ordinary? I guess it’s just the complacency of where we live – we’re used to seeing only what we’re used to seeing, and anything that is outside of those bounds just either blows our minds or offends us.
Although….I think it was either my attire, or the mention of someone wearing a catsuit and gas mask – or a combination of the two. Either way, it doesn’t matter…..people are people, and that’s all there is to it. We’re all stuck together on this ball of mud, so we’d better get used to each other. Heh….easier said than done, I suppose.
OH…and my site has moved, thanks to bluknight! Yay! Point yer bookmarks over to ShockQueen’s Palace to see the new home of the site. It’s in progress, but will be looking quite snzzy soon enough!
I was going through my stuff, thinking what I really want to keep and what I want to get rid of, and I was thinking about this Manji figure that I’ve had for quite some time now. I guess there are only 400 of this particular figure – wow! Granted, the box I have isn’t quite as nice as this one, but still it’s in pretty darn good shape, all things considered.
Maybe someone wants to make an offer? 🙂 Heh heh heh heh…..
Well……plans kinda got changed as far as my trip to Denver in September. Oh….I’m still going TO Denver, but thanks to bill collectors wanting their money as fast as possible, I had to delay my trip a week, therefore, I’ll be missing Nan Desu Kan yet again – but it may be just as well, since the convention fell smack dab BETWEEN paydays. I’ll have more fundage for the trip by delaying it some, plus I may have someone to drive down with, so it may work out even better – I guess we’ll see. I’m still planning on being in town for 3 days, leaving here on Thursday, and then coming back up on Monday, so I should have plenty of time to do what I need to get done, and be able to spend time with friends.
One of my friends (thank you bluknight *grin*) told me about a place in Denver that makes custom Pony Boots too. Now I’ve seen these before on hhplace.org, but this place custom-makes them, and they look a LOT like real horse feet! I was like………OMG! Too bad they’re shockingly expensive, otherwise I might be tempted to try a pair. Pretty much the same fix I have about ballet boots – would love to try them, but I get a guilty feeling about trying on something so expensive without money in pocket ready to go. I guess for now, I’ll just stick with conventional heelery, since I can also wear them in more places than pony or ballet boots anyway. *grin* Perhaps I should check out some of these events down in Denver more often to see just what they’re all about. After all, curiosity is part of the adventure – right?
Ah….it’ll still be nice to get back to Denver again.
I just got a pair of Indulge-542 platforms from SlinkFashions, and as far as platforms and spectator style heels go, this is a combination of two great tastes that wear well together. I was contemplating them, and a colleague of mine thought they were cute too, so I said to heck with it, and placed my order………haven’t regretted it since.
and yes…..I AM giving Imelda Marcos a run for her money, although I have auctioned off some of my older heels on eBay, making a bit of profit back from those sales to further fuel my vices. Yeah…I’m hopeless, but hey….it’s fun, and doesn’t hurt anyone.
If you’ve thought about a style like this, then hey…..you should go for it. Just a nice fun pair that wears well with lots of outfits.
I hate stomach bugs – I really do. It’s like they shut off the connection between your stomach and intestine, wait a bit, and then reverse the flow on you. Nasty stuff. It’s days like that I thank the maker above that I have a great immune system that can shake such things off within 12-48 hours (in most cases). But stomach bugs…..they tend to “trail off” rather than “get better”. You have to be careful when drinking or eating, otherwise, the gears reverse again on you, even when most of it is gone.
What is safe? 7-Up, crackers, and soup – in small doses. That’s what I’ve found anyway.
I hate bugs. I really do.
I thank my friend Slash for this goodie! You still inspire me to this day.
Someone pointed this out to me online, and I just couldn’t think of any words in reaction to it. What would you make of this???
When I got my little escape pod car, I noticed right away that there was a piece of blue fabric covering the upper dash. I first thought it was a decorative piece or something to keep sun damage away. I lifted it up, and noticed there was a HUGE split in the top, so apparently this was meant to hide this little “defect”. No matter – there are fixes for this. I already have a replacement plastic piece on its way to re-do the facing on the dash, and I’ll be looking at junkyards to see if there is an upper pad that’s in better shape than this one is.
Methinks I really need that Haynes manual about now. LOLOLOL. I just hope to have everything ship-shape by the time September comes around. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
