Well, my site is down (again), so now I’m working on setting up one on a server that I actually have some control over so that way I can minimize downtime much more directly. I think it’s a step in the right direction so that way it’s much more accessable to a larger audience, and it’s one I can publicize more readily. Not bad, huh?
I’ve been inspired to make more images using images from Aska in Cy-Girls and Mari Iijima (you can see an example on her website of http://www.marimusic.com if you look around), so you can be sure I’ll be dabbling a lot more than I have been in the past.
Today is a kind of laid-back day….relaxing, watching Star Trek, and catching up on some much needed creative flexing. Anyone for some raspberry iced tea?
OK…maybe that title leads some minds down the wrong path….ah well.
There’s only one thing wrong with getting pulled from your normal stuff to do something else….all that “normal routine” just sits there waiting for you when you get back! *sigh*…ah well….at least I’m not getting in any trouble – at least not YET anyways.
I’m on book 3 of the Deep Space 9 set I’ve been working on, and it’s only been a week! I think I really need to get a longer book set. 🙂
Nina’s birthday is TODAY!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY NINA HAGEN! HAVE A WONDERFUL 29TH BIRTHDAY again and again and again! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! OK….go see her homepage at http://www.nina-hagen.com and wish her one too! Make with the clicking already!
I worked out in the warehouse again today – started off nice and cool, but then the Cali sun kicked in, and it got a tad on the warm side. Then again, the whole building is pretty much like that except where there’s an AC unit. I’m not complaining though….it’s still a nice change of pace.
I sent an E-mail to Texas Terri tonight. I don’t know if it goes to her, or someone else in “management”…guess we’ll find out soon enough. Now I just wish I knew how to contact Nina! 🙂 I know she’s got an e-mail address…..if I could just figure out how to find out. I need some guidance, and I have a feeling perhaps she could answer some of the questions I’ve been pondering.
I’ve been riding the bus still for a while, and it’s making reading through books a lot more enjoyable. I’ve finished one, and over half-way through the second! Too bad this series only has 3 books. Guess I need to read longer series books! *flip flip flip flip*….DONE!
Today I worked out in the warehouse, where I swear it must’ve been 90 or so degrees…like someone turned on a blast-furnace…and it’s only March! I had no idea that California weather turned up like that so soon into the year! Reminds me of the time when I worked at Wal-Mart, and someone in their infinite wisdom decided it’d really be a cool idea and a great selling point to have an entire PALLET of Cola outside in the sun to promote it.
All went well until you heard the unmistakable sound of **ppsssshhhh!!!** coming from within the stack at the rate of twice a minute. When I and my compatriot were wheeling it back in, we had some fun slapping the stack, making further hissing sounds emanate from the large red stack. I think they learned that perhaps it wasn’t the best idea in the world after that.
I do think I woke up some muscles I forgot I had today though….ohhhh…I am HURTING. But yet….I’m gonna do it again tomorrow. I must be some kind of glutton for punishment or something. Now where’s that whip they were gonna use……?
I found this site called celebmatch.com which offers to tell you which celebs you’re most compatable with – based on biorhythms (yes, those funky gadgets you used to see back in the 70’s), and lo and behold it said I was most compatable with were:
Ally Sheedy: 98%
Linda De Mol: 100%
Who the HECK is Linda De Mol? I did a search, and found this:
She’s some celeb that lives over in The NETHERLANDS! That’s the oddest thing I’ve seen in quite a while. I also found to be 92% compatable with Kate Mulgrew (Capt. Janeway) and 90% compatable with Cosma Shiva Hagen (Nina Hagen’s daughter). They didn’t have a listing for Nina herself….that would have been interesting to be sure….although I’m sure Nina’s biorhythms are pretty universal. 🙂
I put up a nice accounting of my Nina experience on her booking company’s website the other night, and couldn’t believe the people that were trash-talking about her! OMG…..well, at least she was plenty nice to me and the person I met there while we were around, so I don’t know what they were talking about. Anyways….I go back to check & see if anybody commented….and found my posting had been erased!
So I wrote to them asking why they only allowed negative stuff, or do they just not appreciate her music, and the fact that she allowed them to book her show? The response I got back was that they don’t want ass-kissing people…just real reactions.
WTF??? How was what I said NOTreal? Nina Hagen was a perfect ANGEL around us, and we had a great time with her. I just hope that somehow Nina finds out about what a bunch of flaky people her US booking company is. I’m still shocked over that one. For what it’s worth…..my night around Nina was the best I’ve had in a LONG time!
