Well, it’s now 11 days to go (assuming things hold to schedule), and still much to do – and as they say, so little time to do it in. Who’da thought this month would go so fast? I’ve gotten used to this vacation, and I’m glad I did enjoy it, for after the move, it’s gonna be non-stop mayhem until we get settled into our new digs. Ray-Ray says there are a lot of new things to get used to, such as freeway on-ramps in the middle of residential areas, and whole sections of cities dedicated to one lifestyle or mindset…yep, it’ll be a lot to get used to, but it’ll be fun doing it.
The apartment is starting to look more like a warehouse every day, and each day, more unnecessary stuff goes sailing into the ol’ dumpsteroo. I hold the ritual of putting the useful stuff out, just in case someone wants to make use of it, much like I did when I first moved here, so it’s nice to be able to give back to the neighborhood in a sort of odd way (hey, it DOES work!). Went thrift shopping and landed a great deal on a bike, which will come in handy out in SoCal, since the weather there is nicer a bigger chunk of the year.
I’m hoping to get together with most of my friends before we leave, as it’ll be quite some time before I get a chance to see any of them in person again, although some have said they’d be out there sooner or later. Heck…why not? Denver is getting to be a dead-end town anyways, what with all the jobs going out the window. The old “cable modem rant game” is getting boring, so it’s time to search out new sport, so I’ve been busily playing Ratchet & Clank, as well as some Kingdom Hearts during the resting periods. Perhaps a nice run of Logan’s Run or Dune…hmmm….sounds like a plan.
btw….ENTRY POSTING 200! Woo-hoo! I am a mad jounalist!
